Bird watching
From the terraces at Fuegoblanco you can watch flocks of serrins, hoopoes feeding or green parakeets quarreling in the trees. Walk to the bottom of the finca and watch herons, egrets, the occasional kingfisher and many others on the river. Birds spotted on our land in April include Squacco Heron, Woodchat Strike, Ciril Buntin, Ringed plover,Hoopoe bird.
Travel a few kilometres to El Chorro gorge and Bobastro to see vultures and peregrines. A little further north is Teba gorge, home to several species of eagles; and lagoons where flamingos come to breed in spring. Or you can see sea birds and waders in the natural park at the mouth of the Guadalahorce river near Malaga.
