Come in spring for vivid greens, spring flowers and almond blossom; come in summer for Mediterranean browns and ochres; or come in autumn for the first flush of green on parched earth as the rains begin. You can watch the colours change on the mountains from here, or go further afield for the dramatic greys of El Chorro gorge or the extraordinary light in the sierras towards Ronda. 

Every year Álora holds its own art exhibition in the Casa Cultura. with a first prize of 5000 euros the quality of the work is amazingly high.
