New The high speed link known as the AVE opened 23rd of December 2007. Journey time between Madrid and Malaga is now down to 2.5 hours. The new station Victoria Kent, one stop before Maria Zambrano, on both the Airport and Álora lines, has opened. This is now the best place to change trains.

From the Aeropuerta Arrival lounge make your way to Aeropuerta estacion. Here there is a ticket machine which allows you to purchase a through ticket to Alora, single fare under 3.00 euros . Get off at Malaga Victoria Kent and transfer to get the Alora Train.

From 6th april 2010 the trains from Alora start and finish at Malaga Centro.

Add 3 minutes for the journey time between Maria Zambrano and Malaga Centro and the time between Victoria Kent and Maria zambroso is also 3 minutes..
