We also ask people what we could do to improve Fuegoblanco. Almost half couldn’t think of anything. Thanks to the others we have now:
*Put a wastepaper bin in the salon
*Added more hooks in the bathrooms, and improved the heating in one
*Put a list of suggested outings in the rooms
*Added diet drinks to the self service fridge
*Introduced home made marmalade
*Put signs in the lane and by the gate
*Adjusted one of the showerheads
*Emphasised the fact that we are vegetarian more in our advertising
*Installed an internet terminal for guests
We are also plotting how to increase marmalade production so we can sell jars to take home, and considering a postcard of Fuegoblanco. But for the guest that that suggested it, sorry – we can’t kill the cockerel!.
"We have just spent a week at this lovely B&B.On our first evening we decided to eat in. It was hot
we had just driven from the airport and a cold beer
and olives were awaiting us after a quick dip in the
lovely pool. A great start to our week and the hospitality
continued at this pace throughout. The evening meals are
delicious and careful considered each day for variety
and nutrition and accompanied by a decent bottle of wine.
The breakfasts are plentiful with the best eggs I have tasted
and a great start to any walkers day. Sarah & Ken were
always more than willing to give advice on local walks
and things to do. They are armed with a library of maps,
instructions, guide books and for when you do finally
decide to stop for a while a good range of reading books.
Zig Zag the cat will entertain you with his playful antics
and if you are feeling really energetic he will even spectate
as you play table tennis or badminton - he doesn't make
a good ball boy though as he tends keep hold of the ball/shuttle cock!
Our favourite walks/activities: Huma followed by lunch at the
Rocabella, El Torcal, the wolf park (lobo park), Malaga and Ronda.
I would recommend that people hire a car as I did not see one bus
whilst we were there so I was left wondering how people who do not have
their own transport would manage, however the train journey into Malaga
is recommended, it is easy because Alora is the last stop and I really
wouldn't want to take on the spanish drivers of Malaga! We would definately
return to the FuegoBlanco should we visit this beautiful part of Spain again.
Thank you Sarah & Kenneth" Sept 2008
Hello Sarah and Kenneth, sorry for not e mailing earlier to thank you for a wonderful, relaxing holiday. We arrived a bit frayed from work and you looked after us very well. Your cooking is superb. You attentiveness is discreet but comprehensive. It\'s a great area to explore. Every day was packed with things to do, but restful and your advice on everything was spot on. What was best: the dolmens, the walk to the gorge, the strange mountains south of antequerra, Malaga, la Ronda, Alora, your food, your hotel. Hope you sold your lemons, thanks again, love Guy and Lisa. Hello to the cats. July 2009
