Hike
Caminito del Rey
A clifftop walkway bolted into the side of a gorge — once "the world's most dangerous path," now safe, spectacular, and a highlight of any stay.
The Area · Málaga inland
A quiet valley,
a white village,
a dramatic gorge.
We sit between Álora's steep streets and the El Chorro gorge, with the Málaga lakes just beyond. Coast and city are both an easy drive — but most days you won't want to leave the valley.
Things to do
What fills the days.
A small set of honest recommendations — the stuff we'd tell a good friend to do if they only had a few days.

Swim & boat
Three turquoise reservoirs twenty minutes away. Swim in the summer, kayak in the shoulder seasons, picnic whenever.
Village
Whitewashed streets that climb to an Arab castle, with a noisy market and real Andalusian life underneath the tourism.
Ride
Tina takes small groups out on her Pura Española for a couple of hours at a time — gentle routes through the grove for new riders, longer climbs for the confident.
Beach
Málaga's beaches are half an hour south. Skip the obvious ones; drive a little further and find the small coves.
