Tapas · Álora
Casa Abilio
A village classic. Busy at lunch, noisy in the best way, and easily the best value meal you'll eat all week.
Dining
Oranges, olive oil,
and what's ripe today.
Breakfast is ours, most evenings you're out. Álora and the villages nearby pour seriously good Andalusian food for very little money.
At FuegoBlanco
From the garden,
most mornings.
Where possible, breakfasts and occasional suppers come from our own gardens — vegetables in season, fruit from the trees, oranges freshly squeezed, and our own organic olive oil pressed from sixty trees planted in 2014.
Dinner at FuegoBlanco is cooked by Anna on selected evenings — a relaxed, Spanish-leaning menu around one long table on the veranda. Please ask us in advance.
Out & about
Our favourites,
within a short drive.
Álora and the villages nearby have a serious range of authentic Spanish food. Here are the places we send our guests to most.

Bar · Álora
Small plates with a glass of something cold, on a tiny square that fills up with locals at around nine.
Country · near the roundabout
Big, generous, Spanish-Spanish. Go for Sunday lunch and don't plan anything after.
Home cooking · Álora
Family-run, tiny menu, everything good. Pepa will tell you what to eat.
Lunch with a view
A beautiful white village with a fine, half-day feel: wander the streets, then lunch near the top with a view over the whole valley.
Modern Andalusian
A short drive into the countryside, a chef who cares, and a wine list with surprises. Good for a slow second night.
We eat what's in the garden, and send you to people who do the same.
